[Test-Announce] GNOME 3 Test Day #2 recap

The second of the GNOME 3 Test Days took place on 2011-03-10.

Test Day drew a smaller number of testers than last time (19), but
thanks to their will to go through about twice as much test cases this
time, lots of bugs in various areas were discovered.

So let me say thanks to all of you who took the time to help out with
the testing!

Resulting list of discovered bugs looks like this:

All of these bugs were reported to the Fedora Bugzilla, some of them
were later discovered or re-reported in the GNOME Bugzilla (those are
in braces)

683353 NEW  - [abrt] totem-1:2.91.7-1.fc15: totem_scrsaver_disable:
Process /usr/bin/totem was killed by signal 11 (SIGSEGV)
683274 NEW  - Test Day Result: Setting Background to Transparent Does
Not Work
683997 NEW  - [mi] EQ overflowing. The server is probably stuck in an
infinite loop.
682627 NEW  - "Open Containing Folder" Functionality is Buggy

682055 NEW  - Applications without Icons
683884 NEW  - Using ALT-F2 to exec a program makes it open twice
683932 NEW  - GNOME Shell Alt-tab switcher window list view is

684041 NEW  - Changing system-config-time's timezone doesn't change the
time reported by Gnome

684858 NEW  - Workspaces list from gnome-shell overview does not hide
properly on multihead
683929 NEW  - "Blocking" popup when chosing not to use a password for
the default keyring
684238 NEW  - Keyring does not remember SFTP connection password
established through Nautilus.

accesses on the lnk_file
/etc/systemd/system/multi-user.target.wants/ntpd.service.
683275 ASSIGNED  - Conversation Not in Chronological Order

/usr/libexec/gsd-datetime-mechanism from 'getattr' accesses on the

panel doesn't change timezone
683690 CLOSED DUPLICATE - gdm shows the login screen, but doesn't
accept the password

Following are previously reported bugs that were also encountered:

/usr/bin/mutter was killed by signal 6 (SIGABRT)
682044 NEW  - Same Icon, Same Name - No Way to Tell System Monitors Apart
672135 NEW  - users with no "real name" in /etc/passwd show up as blank
678236 NEW  - User list not visible on greeter
681058 NEW  - Blinks Before Letting User Log In
681750 NEW  - No Language Selection/Language List in GDM
675278 ASSIGNED  - SELinux is preventing /sbin/chkconfig from 'getattr'
accesses on the file /etc/rc.d/init.d/lvm2-monitor.
680757 CLOSED ERRATA - SELinux is preventing
/usr/libexec/gsd-datetime-mechanism from using the 'signal' accesses on
a process.
680760 CLOSED DUPLICATE - SELinux is preventing /bin/systemctl from
'create' accesses on the lnk_file ntpd.service.
682040 CLOSED UPSTREAM - [abrt] gnome-system-monitor-2.99.0-1.fc15:
g_settings_schema_get_value: Process /usr/bin/gnome-system-monitor was
killed by signal 6 (SIGABRT)

As you can see, several bugs have already been fixed, and many more
remain to be worked on. Many of these bugs could benefit from triage,
so if Bugzappers have time to work on that, it would be great.
