There's a mesa subpackage for the userspace bits of the R600 driver (mesa-dri-drivers-experimental), but we don't build the DRM support in the kernel yet. I don't know offhand what's needed to get that working, but it's something we plan to look at before beta. -experimental is probably not going to be installed by default though, as the 3D driver is still a little rough. - ajax
