Your re-arrangement looks great to me, thanks for that - I can think of
a possible way to maybe clarify it a bit more, I'll try to work on that
tomorrow and see if it works. But good job!

One quick note: English style differs from French in a few ways. One
common one - in English, it's not normal to have a space before a
question mark (or anything else...there's another punctuation mark where
this is different, but I can't remember which one it is). There's a few
other things I can't quite think of right now, I'll let you know if I
remember them.
