nv or nouveau both failed to load before I added nvidia third party
nvidia drivers later. I booted up with the third party packages
installed and manually edited the xorg.conf file trying nv, nouveau and
finally trying vesa to get X running. Nvidia was contained in the
xorg.conf file originally. Maybe the access denied for capabilities is
the problem I am encountering.
I removed the third party items and knowing it should work try to see if
I can get nv or nouveau to work. Knowing that they should work is
helpful information. SELinux is suspect since access denied is mentioned
for capabilities.
Thats probably because you ran lspci as a normal user rather than root, I see
the same thing.
