Yes, both nv and nouveau should be working. I can use either one
successfully with my fx5900xt agp card.
The nouveau driver get slower and slower over time until the desktop
becomes unusable for me. After that I can't even restart X because it
complains about being unable to allocate memory for a framebuffer.
