The report is same but disabling SELinux with setenforce 0 doesnt change the behavior of gedit on my system.

Have you done 'su -' again after setenforce 0?

I tried setenforce 0 followed by trying to launch gedit as Rahul reported with the same failure. Running su - (in a different shell) after setenforce 0 allows gedit to start, though it loads very slowly.

Then it is the #176771. The slow loading is probably a completely
different problem.

I just tried opening gedit in a shell that was su - with SELinux enabled. Gedit seems to load at historical speed and does not exhibit errors any longer.
One less bug, I guess.
