And I'm saying that this 'authoritative' list would have to live outside
the realm of Fedora. So somebody outside of Fedora would have to
create/maintain it and convince everybody that they are 'authoritative'
even though they aren't part of the Fedora Project.
Why should an authoritative list of official Fedora mirrors have to live
outside Fedora?
Debian has had an equivalent list for years, and Debian is paranoid
about following the law and licences.
