Openoffice.org on x86_64 FC4 test1

Has anyone one gotten any of the OO.o programs to run in the x86_64 
version of FC4-test1?  trying to load any of the programs from a 
terminal window gives the following:

[localhost ~]$ oowriter
javaldx: Could not find a Java Runtime Environment!
no suitable windowing system found, exiting.

Trying to launch from the menu gives me an "busy" cursor for 45sec then 
nothing.

I'm I missing something needed to run these programs?
