Removed some more NVIDIA GL library detritus and reinstalled more mesa-
? packages and it cleared the ldd "missing files" and GDM works :-)
Now I can switch off the non-debug kernel repo and use standard Rawhide
kernels.

I'm glad you got if figured out! I use the packages from RPM Fusion so I can remove the packages and know it's gone but that's a luxury of running F22 instead of Rawhide :) I only run that in a docker image!
