Another likely-to-be-common bug in Rawhide: Incredible Shrinking GNOME Terminals are back

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Just another heads-up for Rawhide users (only GNOME Terminal users
this time). Old hands may remember various bugs which would cause the
terminal window to shrink when you did stuff (oh, how we loved those)
and - oh, what fun - with GTK+ 3.15.4 there's another one:

https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=743395

it's terrible in Rawhide right now, the window gets 1x1 unit smaller
every time you unfocus or focus the window. The current proposed patch
at least solves that, but there's still some shrink cases left (see
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=743395#c9 ;). I'm hoping
Company has an updated patch when I wake up tomorrow, so I'm holding
off applying the current patch to the Rawhide package for now.

For now it's probably going to be borderline unusable, so I recommend
using a different terminal app until it's sorted out.
