Has https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1154235 been fixed in
Beta RC4?

While the live installs such as
http://dl.fedoraproject.org/pub/alt/stage/21_Beta_RC4/Live/x86_64/Fedora-Live-LXDE-x86_64-21_Beta-4.iso
come up as Fedora, then I build my own under mock using livecd-creator,
pointing to Fedora 21 repos, and using
/usr/share/spin-kickstarts/fedora-livecd-lxde.ks for the configuration
file it comes up as generic.

I am re-spinning to pick up fixes. I have not read every comment in BZ
1154235 but the end is that it is closed as fixed in errata. Just what
was fixed?

I believe that one possible way to circumvent the problem is to
specifically include "fedora-release" in my package list.

Comments?
Check you updated your spin-kickstarts checkout. The fix was in
fedora-live-base.ks , which now pulls in @fedora-release-nonproduct by
default, so anything including it will get that. The workstation
kickstart pulls in @workstation-product instead.

The latest version of fedora-kickstarts is 0.21.8 which was built on 11
October. This commit is dated 18 October. Need to push an update out.
We do, but in general, it's a better idea to have a git checkout, update
it regularly, and build your lives from that. That's how the production
lives are built - they're always built from the tip of the relevant git
branch, not from the packaged version. The packaged version gets updated
when someone remembers to do it.
Chuckle, chuckle :-D

Well, I have been using git repositories more and more so why not one more.

However, this generic/fedora release package selection problem is going to be a bit of a pain for all kickstart users who have their own "handcrafted" kickstart files. If another solution cannot be done, then I suggest this be well documented in the Fedora 21 release notes.
