failure to remove old efi boot entry

I'm not understanding what's happening in this bug. Comment 15 is the result of efibootmgr while booted from a USB stick made via dd of Fedora-Live-Desktop-x86_64-19-TC5-1.iso.

The Boot0000 entry is valid, that's a successful, working Fedora 19 installation with /boot on partition 4. But it's not clear to me why anaconda reports:

15:31:42,471 INFO program: Running... efibootmgr -b 0000 -B
15:31:42,516 DEBUG program: Return code: 1

When I do it manually *before* anaconda has a chance to, it works. But for some reason the same command issued by anaconda (when the entry exists), returns a code of 1.

Weird.
