It seems autopart should be able to automatically handle the case where a VG contains free space, and a Btrfs volume also contains free space, and simply create the necessary LVs or subvolumes and go. But in a case with an existing Btrfs subvolume or existing VG with free space, anaconda-18.37-1 "Installation Options" model dialog says there is no free space available.
