No, it's the other way round: yum is more efficient in downloading
because it most often does not need to download everything, while the
other depsolvers always download the bist in advance. It's a bit
oversimplified, but that servers for a first picture.
Thanks for the clarification. The use of file deps prevents an
optimization to kick in.
