https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2303993 Bug ID: 2303993 Summary: Review Request: ocaml-opam-0install-cudf - A generic CUDF solver library meant to be used in opam Product: Fedora Version: rawhide Hardware: All OS: Linux Status: NEW Component: Package Review Severity: medium Priority: medium Assignee: nobody@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Reporter: loganjerry@xxxxxxxxx QA Contact: extras-qa@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx CC: package-review@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Target Milestone: --- Classification: Fedora Spec URL: https://jjames.fedorapeople.org/ocaml-opam-0install-cudf/ocaml-opam-0install-cudf.spec SRPM URL: https://jjames.fedorapeople.org/ocaml-opam-0install-cudf/ocaml-opam-0install-cudf-0.4.3-2.fc41.src.rpm Fedora Account System Username: jjames Description: This is a rename review. Upstream for the existing ocaml-opam-0install package split the package into two pieces. This is the piece with the new name. We weren't packaging the other piece to begin with, so the plan is to rename this piece and retire the ocaml-opam-0install package. Opam's default solver is designed to maintain a set of packages over time, minimizing disruption when installing new programs and finding a compromise solution across all packages (e.g. avoiding upgrading some library to prevent uninstalling another program). In many situations (e.g. a CI system building in a clean environment, a project-local opam root, or a duniverse build) this is not necessary, and we can get a solution much faster by using a different algorithm. This package provides a generic solver library which uses 0install's solver library. The CUDF library is used in order to interface with opam as it is the format used to talk to the supported solvers. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are always notified about changes to this product and component You are on the CC list for the bug. https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2303993 Report this comment as SPAM: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/enter_bug.cgi?product=Bugzilla&format=report-spam&short_desc=Report%20of%20Bug%202303993%23c0 -- _______________________________________________ package-review mailing list -- package-review@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe send an email to package-review-leave@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Fedora Code of Conduct: https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/project/code-of-conduct/ List Guidelines: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Mailing_list_guidelines List Archives: https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/package-review@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Do not reply to spam, report it: https://pagure.io/fedora-infrastructure/new_issue
