I don't think so, as this isn't a library meant to be linked against, the .so
is the actual program and is injected via LD_PRELOAD / ld.so path to perform
the proxying

I haven't seen one, but I'd be open to alternatives. I'm mostly packaging this
because we still use it at work

Do you mean the autotools script? those are only needed during build, not on
the target system
