https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1664399 Bug ID: 1664399 Summary: Review Request: mp3gain - Lossless MP3 volume adjustment tool Product: Fedora Version: rawhide Hardware: All OS: Linux Status: NEW Component: Package Review Severity: medium Priority: medium Assignee: nobody@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Reporter: kvolny@xxxxxxxxxx QA Contact: extras-qa@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx CC: package-review@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Target Milestone: --- Classification: Fedora Spec URL: https://kvolny.fedorapeople.org/mp3gain.spec SRPM URL: https://kvolny.fedorapeople.org/mp3gain-1.6.2-2.fc29.src.rpm Description: MP3Gain analyzes and adjusts mp3 files so that they have the same volume. It does not just do peak normalization, as many normalizers do. Instead, it does some statistical analysis to determine how loud the file actually sounds to the human ear. Also, the changes MP3Gain makes are completely lossless. There is no quality lost in the change because the program adjusts the mp3 file directly, without decoding and re-encoding.
