Patch to support mysql builds

It turns out the previous patch wasn't quite sufficient.  Upstream has a bug in
their source code that results in unsatisfiable references to symbols in the
shared library.  This new patch fixes that, too.  Upstream should apply the
db_mysql.c portion of the patch, regardless of what they think of the rest.

OK, I'm really, really doing the rest of the review now.  Really.
