Like, a wiki page or something? :)

These are from the design team. :) But we can definitely ask for a
refresh.

So, several things.

In order for the ads to run, they need six upvotes. It's not explicitly
against the rules but feels very much like cheating to replace the ad
within the post with existing upvotes. So, new ads would require new
votes. That's fine, but needs a little bit of caution.

There are several different sites that are relevant: Superuser, for
general tech/geek/enthusiast stuff; Unix/Linux Stack Exchange, which is
self-explanatory; Serverfault, for sysadmins; Open Source Stack
Exchange, which is more about community and practices; and Stack
Overflow itself, which is for programmers. All of these could have ads
with different targetted messages.

The rules are also different for Stack Overflow vs. everything else. On
everything else, the ads are refreshed annually and it's okay to reuse
the same ones every year. They can be for anything related to the
site's theme.

On Stack Overflow, the ads are refreshed every half year and must
specifically be soliciting the participation and contribution of
programmers writing actual source code "or other programmery things
(documentation, code review, bug fixes, etc.)." The project can
resubmit, but the ad must change. I haven't requested design work for
this because of the need for refresh, but maybe it would be worth it —
and if we do this, we *should* pick a specific need and focus on it.
(Like, "Fedora needs coders for the new Docs project", "Help Fedora Fix
AskBot", etc.)
