Hello Marketing team, We have a Diaspora Account in https://diasp.org/u/fedora but the updates in that account are very low when compared to the other social media accounts. Also most of the latest updates that were posted in the account are not posted as public but just to limited people, so every one can't see the updated only a handful of people that are friends of fedora can see the updates. There are ways to connect other social media accounts to Diaspora (so that if a update is posted in other accounts it automatically get's posted in diaspora) diasp.org supports twitter, tumblr and wordpress. I am also ready to help you guys if you need any help maintaining the Diaspora account.
Hey! Thanks for bringing this up.I've also noticed that the Diaspora seems to be outside our common network of places we hit with social media. It might be one of the disadvantages to it if it's difficult to set up shared accounts for it (e.g. a matter of sharing a password versus "adding" accounts that have privileges to post as Fedora).
Brian might have the most to offer on this one since I believe he originally set up Diaspora. I'd be +1 to auto-linking it to Twitter and mirroring content from there, since we are actively posting and generating content on Twitter.
Brian, is there any way we can work on setting that up? Thanks again for bringing this up, Dhanvi. :) -- Cheers, Justin W. Flory jflory7@xxxxxxxxx
