Hmmm does this mean a package name of "gnustep-make" would possibly

Yes.
If so maybe a "oog-gnustep-make" package name is better ?
gnustep-make-libfoundation or gnustep-make-gnu-fd-nil would be better.
To explain the library combo: gnu-fd-nil. There are multiple
Objective-C runtimes, Foundation and GUI libraries. A combination of
those is called a "library-combo" by gstep-make and represented as a
string: OBJCRUNTIME.FOUNDATION.GUI.
The three most common ones:
gnu-fd-nil: GNU Objective-C runtime, libFoundation Foundation, no GUI
gnu-gnu-gnu: GNU Objective-C runtime, gnustep-base Foundation,
gnustep-gui
apple-apple-apple: Apple runtime, Cocoa Foundation, Cocoa GUI
