It looks like the CVS version use the FHS standard, putting the
binaries on $(prefix)/bin and the data on $(prefix)/share/widelands. I
will give the CVS a try, otherwise I'll put everything on the
/usr/share/widelands and patch the desktop file.

I would make the dir /usr/share/widelands and patch the game if
necessary to use this location.
