Additionally, psycopg2 provides a backwards compatibility module. I'm not sure how complete the back-compat is and am simply waiting for psycopg2 to get out of beta before packaging it. Due to the upstream name change, there are some minor administrative questions about packaging the new package as well as determining how to deal with backwards compatibility.
