What bothers me is that the Amarok devs removed the gst10 engine deliberately from the final 1.4 tarball. I've added it back for x86_64 because there wasn't any other engine available there, but I'd like to stay as close to upstream as possible.
This is a really crap-tastic situation for amarok users, regardless of distribution. I think to keep yourself sane as the maintainer caught in the middle, you should turn the bugreports into a drinking game. Everytime someone new complains about the lack of gst support.. you get to drink a shot of tequila! I hope amarok users are able to work through the issues with the upstream developers. I find it an extremely odd decision right before the release, considering that amarok's "big thing" is audio engine neutrality. Hard to take that claim seriously if they aren't actually shipping support for engines that are part of the G-K desktop stacks. -jef" because these days... these days I tall ya' ... these days its all about the monkeys. --peter mulvey "spaleta -- fedora-extras-list mailing list fedora-extras-list@xxxxxxxxxx https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/fedora-extras-list
