I meant that if rhgb is passed to the kernel, then tty7 should be the active 
tty on boot and be used for the graphical display and then after booting 
finished, X can be started on tty7 without a flicker. If X is not going to be 
started, I guess it does not hurt to either switch to tty1 or add another 
getty to tty7.
