Thinking of your computer as a single piece might make sense for someone who only has one, but does anyone really run fedora as their one and only computer?
I have run Linux as my one and only OS for over a decade, right now both machines I own run Fedora and that has been the case basically since FC1 came out. I would happily recommend switching a family' single machine to pure Fedora.
