Should I upgrade to Fedora 9 / KDE 4?

Hi there.

People can only "look before you leap" if they are presented with enough information to make an informed choice.
From my experience I wish I had known more.
1. The xorg update meant that the nvidia drivers couldn't simply have the portable part recompiled for each new kernel. This is what the Livna repo hosts. 2. On my install of KDE 4 (other problems may have caused this so please confirm) I have no Kate, no science screensaver, no ksysguard. I filed a bug against ksysguard / KDE 4 - https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=447471

I have no CD/DVD drive and no other machine.
After reformatting my hard disk twice, trying to copy the DVD image to a hard disk partition to boot off it and eventually using VMware server to boot off the ISO and install to a physical hard disk, I wish I hadn't started.

I've downgraded to Fedora 8 and was going to wait for the nvidia drivers to catch up, but now it looks like I'll be waiting for KDE 4.2.

Ho hum.
