In order to test betaware on a wide range of hardware combinations one needs
to have various hardware combinations to test on.
This sounds like you have a very specific and non-typical use in mind
for your installations and you would know how to make the choice
yourself. Defaults are for people who don't know ahead of time what
they will need and want something known to be useful in the typical case.
