Re: alpha/beta software in Fedora 8?

It seems to get a redhat hangout here ^_^

About this stuff here.. about 50(?) posts ago someone of redhad said
that it's not appropriate for a stable tree to include (possible)
unstable alhpa/beta/rc software.

Can't we just let it with that..
Don't make it a policy! just a suggested guideline?

Also its said that a maintainer is free in his choice to include such
software. that is a lot of power for a maintainer (?) which is fine
with me but in the case of pushing up software that isn't in final and
could be vital for fedora it might be handy that a redhat person looks
at it before pushing it up.
