Or should we just replace > sysklogd in devel right off? Instead of looking at this as a 'new default logger', perhaps it would be better to look at this as a 'rsyslogd is obsoleting sysklogd'. Think of it purely within the scope of one package is replacing the other, due to things like sysklogd being dead upstream. In that context, we can do the replacement now and be happy. It's a different subject as to if we want to "switch the default logger" or perhaps "switch to different logging options by default", and that could use some discussion with various folks.
