As I had previously mentioned on infrastructure-list, I think that it's
too radical for now and I also think that it's too radical really
forever.  The value of being able to cleanly separate out the changes
that we have, submit them back, review them, modify them, etc is just so
incredibly high as far as avoiding unnecessary forks
