Generally
speaking, this is a problem that could really do with some people

How does the "competition" handle it in the first place?
I mean, dpkg, emerge, portage...
- hal depends on cryptsetup-luks (containing bulky 1.2MB
static binary in /sbin)
cryptsetup-luks should drop its static binary and move libcryptsetup to
be in /%{_lib} instead of %{_libdir}
