Here's the deal with this one, it was sent to internal lists, because many RH maintainers weren't reading external lists. We wanted to make sure they read this message. And much of the thread was about how Red Hat Engineering would interact with Fedora in the merged world, and what that means for RHEL. Some of that just couldn't be spoken about externally. Also, this isn't indicative that there are other threads going on, the internal lists are pretty devoid of actual Fedora content. > > > * more closed circles, in which decisions are made -- including > > > mysteries like brew, koji, and code transfer for the new Updates > > > System, > > > > These decisions were made at the Fedora summit, with the Fedora board and > > other community folks, complete with an IRC channel during the live > > discussions. But you're not listed as a FESCo member anyway. That's unfortunate, as I was dragged back into FESCo recently. > Perhaps I should lose my hope that somebody else in FESCo still has > a clue what I refer to. You seem very bitter. My comment above was more "I don't understand the language used." I could take a guess at what you meant, but that would be an assumption, and we all know how fun those are. If you're referring to our desire to see work done by non-fesco people, well I applaud that. It is absolutely silly to have to be ON Fesco to do anything of importance. All that does is make FESCo far too huge to accomplish anything, or it makes people feel that their contributions to the project are unwanted if they aren't in FESCo. Neither is something I'd like to see. -- Jesse Keating Release Engineer: Fedora
