in any case, it's 'flagged' here, so I can at least see the problem coming.

I have no idea what this is or care to. This should stand on a simple
argument.

simply that i now know it's causing problems here, and will continue to do so until if/when this changes, and can workaround it -- or communicate it to clients, and let them make their choices.

i've no 'argument' to make, beyond the discussion already had.
