It's all part of the same discussion to me. I've filed https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2152229 now for the original problem. Dropping the new deps of webkitgtk in lorax runtime- cleanup is possible, but would be rather ugly and fragile (any time the deps *changed*, we wouldn't necessarily notice and update the stripping; we already don't update it enough and it's probably missing stuff). It's much more robust if the unnecessary deps can be avoided at source. Still, that change in webkitgtk caused the images to grow by ~15M. The lorax change I filed today saves ~11M and the iwlwifi change should save ~30M I think. So no, actually, fixing the new webkitgtk deps wouldn't make a "much bigger difference", though I'd still like for it to happen! -- Adam Williamson Fedora QA IRC: adamw | Twitter: adamw_ha https://www.happyassassin.net _______________________________________________ devel mailing list -- devel@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe send an email to devel-leave@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Fedora Code of Conduct: https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/project/code-of-conduct/ List Guidelines: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Mailing_list_guidelines List Archives: https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/devel@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Do not reply to spam, report it: https://pagure.io/fedora-infrastructure/new_issue
