Most packages have a single maintainer; there are | two maintainers for OO.o, four (?) maintainers for X.Org X11; only | the kernel has a dedicated (and much larger) "kernel team". It's larger, it has more patches, more people have to look after it. It's an RPM, same format as everything else, contains normal files, encapsulates an external .tar.gz compilable project, and contains deviations from upstream mandated by Redhat like other packages do. Show me the "logical fallacy" drawing a line between that RPM and the rest of 'em just because it has more people on it. Sure I understand if RHAT doesn't want to get their fingers into any more ongoing Chinese Finger Traps of deviant maintainence. RHAT deviations from upstream are basically a private RHAT political issue. They pay for it, why not. Naturally this leads to winces when the "C-word" is trotted out next to Fedora. Anyway I use your work daily, thanks to everyone for all their work. - -Andy -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.1 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Fedora - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFC2AefjKeDCxMJCTIRAixZAJ4+f1OQd+Q9Q18MfiQPdUj7Lrzh4ACfbY5+ Ef8pEWs2C5QI6yiiu1GLJko= =uwif -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- fedora-devel-list mailing list fedora-devel-list@xxxxxxxxxx http://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/fedora-devel-list
