Hi all,

This is mostly targeted at maintainers (bcc'd in case not subscribed to Fedora devel) of packages that depend on wxPython (aka python3-wxpython4).

TL;DR: if your package uses python3-wxpython4, please test it with the python3-wxpython4 from this COPR [1] and provide me any feedback, positive or negative, if you can.

I made a test build of kicad, and it works perfectly using your python3-wxpython4-4.1.2-0.1.dev5292+77fa6cf8.fc35.x86_64.rpm package.

I hope that an official package can be added to rawhide when wxPython 4.1.2 is released by upstream.

Thanks for testing and glad to hear!  kicad uses wxWidgets directly also, and would need to move to wxGTK in lockstep with wxPython 4.1.x, correct?

Correct. I used wxGTK (not wxGTK3) along with your python3-wxpython4 package. The resulting KiCad build worked perfectly.
