If you use 'dnf repoquery --whatrequires' to find packages dependees, it is a good idea to to check also the source repositories, so you will not miss packages that only depend at build time:

$ sudo dnf --enablerepo='*source' repoquery --whatrequires 'rarian*'

See how there are some .src rpms that were missed by your query?

Depending on what you are trying to do, using --recursive as well may be a good idea.
