Not on really old distros, because it requires CMake 3.13 (2018-11-20):

(The undocumented variant "%cmake -H. -B%{_vpath_builddir}" should work with
some older versions of CMake, not sure how far back, but it is not
documented and may break in newer CMake versions.)
