What is unclear to me, is will CPE provide Fedora a solution for their
dist-git needs as described in the user stories provided by the Council?
Currently it sounds to me that CPE will only provide a generic git forge
and Fedora will rely on Gitlab to consider their special requirements
worthy to be implemented in a generic git forge solution.
If it works today, we will strive to make sure it works with the Gitlab solution going forward. We do not want a regression of functionality and we will either work directly with Gitlab to try and bridge that gap or build the tooling ourselves. I can't say exact specifics because I don't know them yet. Hope that helps clarify our intent.
