I nuked python2-matplotlib and python2-matplotlib-tk, and it was able to proceed. One thing that looked odd is that it's downgrading a bunch of packages, including the kernel: kernel-tools x86_64 5.5.0-0.rc6.git0.1.fc32 fedora 190 k kernel-tools-libs x86_64 5.5.0-0.rc6.git0.1.fc32 fedora 21 k kernel-tools-libs-devel x86_64 5.5.0-0.rc6.git0.1.fc32 fedora 14 k I wonder if I'm hitting an out-of-date mirror? The other system I just updated had a 5.6.0-0.rc kernel out of the gate..
Downgrading is pretty common as the new release is frozen so new updates only go to the old releases. Although, if the other system you're referring to was an update to F32 beta and not an F31 update, then it probably was an out of date mirror.
