You would not expect a GCC devroom to be concerned about the problems of all packages written in C and C++, so why would Java be any different? The problems of Fedora Java packaging, while important, are somewhat disjoint from those of the platform, especially at a conference which is not even strictly Linux-specific. > It’s not for me to approve or disapprove. As far as I can tell from what has been said, the problems being discussed here relate to packaging and testing. The packaging of programs which depend on Java is somewhat outside my remit. Having said that, I am interested to discover why Java packaging in Fedora is particularly dysfunctional. -- Andrew Haley (he/him) Java Platform Lead Engineer Red Hat UK Ltd. <https://www.redhat.com> https://keybase.io/andrewhaley EAC8 43EB D3EF DB98 CC77 2FAD A5CD 6035 332F A671 _______________________________________________ devel mailing list -- devel@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe send an email to devel-leave@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Fedora Code of Conduct: https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/project/code-of-conduct/ List Guidelines: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Mailing_list_guidelines List Archives: https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/devel@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
