I do not agree with this sentiment all, as well as I can't deny finding your wording bewildering, because I think you actually are trying to say:

- You (Florian) want to abandon the i686 architecture.
- You (RH) want to play down the fact Fedora 28 is FUBARed on the PIII and instead of fixing the issues you want to kill it.
