There was an unexpected change in the ABI of libidn-1.34, which broke stringprep (bugs #1566414 #1573961). I've built libidn packages for F27 and F28 which revert the change that broke the compatibility. In F28 there seems to be only one package (mcabber) which was built with libidn-1.34-1. It will probably need to be rebuilt with libidn-1.34-2. In F27 I don't see any packages built with libidn-1.34-1. In rawhide the number of packages built with libidn-1.34-1 is larger. I've asked the upstream to release a new version with a fixed soname. Should we just wait for that and then rebuild all packages? Or apply the F27/28 fix and rebuild the packages built with libidn-1.34-1, or rebuild packages that were not built with libidn-1.34-1 yet without applying the F27/28 fix? -- Miroslav Lichvar _______________________________________________ devel mailing list -- devel@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe send an email to devel-leave@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
