That's the SourceForge repository. I found another
<https://github.com/vscosta/yap-6.3> that seems to be alive with commits
from the same person. (But who knows, there was no update on YAP web
pages.)

I did not try building from git. Even if it worked, bisecting the beast
full of submodules with bundled Prologue modules on i686 would be
unfeasable. The YAP build system cannot do incremental build. One have
to always build from empty sources.
