There is no human able to understand a complex system like modern
computers and OSs, it is just an illusion

*because* more and more complexity is added with each release and then another layer of complexity is added in the next release to mask the impact

on a stripped down Fedora 9 system the output of htop even on a notebook did fit on a screen without scrolling

the whole purpose of Linux systems was to have open systems, open means also basically understandable and not just "you can grab the source"
