doing software development for 12 years now learned me there is hardly a layer which you should completly ignore to understand the side-effects and implications hwat are you doing at your part
the first years i too ignored a lot of things by thinking they don't affect my directly - looking back - well, if i would have cared about them earlier all my outputs would have been better in any context and finally the time i would have invested to get them learned would have been *way less* then fix things later implemented the wrong way
