If only more bug trackers would accept openid, this would make the issue
less problematic for all.

There is a plugin for that : 
https://wiki.mozilla.org/Bugzilla:OpenID_Auth_Plugin

So is there any reason to not offer it, or I can start filling bug to
request it ?
