I ran into an issue with building a project against alsa-lib in
rawhide (now f19) in December. It was a simple gcc issue where
sys/types.h is no longer gotten for free and needs to be
explicitly included.

There has been no response to my bug report[1] from the package
maintainer even though I have provided a patch and git diff to
what was at the time "master".

The fix has been implemented upstream but I do not believe it
has made it's way into a release.

Could a proven packager please implement the fix?

Given that the fix is literally just "#include <sys/types.h>",
I'll take care of it.

Built and submitted for updates-testing as
https://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/alsa-lib-1.0.26-4.fc19

Note that we're frozen for Alpha, so this won't go in stable until after Alpha release unless there's a legitimate reason to make it a freeze exception issue - https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/QA:SOP_freeze_exception_bug_process .
