Additional tags have a high cost to the infrastructure and every user of said infrastructure. It creates more newRepo tasks which take significant time to complete, and since they are resource intensive only a few can be done at once. This means that newRepo tasks get delayed farther and people waiting for buildroot updates have to wait longer, and longer, and longer. This is why extra tags/roots are used sparingly for more intensive updates than what you're requesting here.
